LONDON - Tuesday (10/04/2011), BMW UK Limited has recorded a new history in the UK, which has sold units to-2 million. Interestingly, like any common thread between the units to-2 million and the first units were sold in the country. The reason, though adrift for a long time, namely 31 years (January 1, 1980), both are equally-5 Series models, the BMW 539d and E12 M535i Gran Turismo sedan.
Hearing this, Ken Haynes from Wolverhampton who bought the historic unit admitted flattered. "I'm so glad, I was the man to-2 million for BMW. BMW 530d Gran Turismo is the perfect car for me, especially in terms of cabin relief, flexibility, and high quality standards," said Haynes as reported by Carscoop.
This accomplishment was achieved BMW after 31 years, since it first began to open up marketing network in the UK. Although quite historic, no special celebrations are done BMW. All was normal, including service to Haynes.
Until now, the Series-5 became one of the best-selling model worldwide, and has sold 5,839,866 units during the 29 years since it was first launched in 1972. Current models, BMW-5 Series Gran Turismo, also managed to attract many consumers in Europe since it was launched first in Britain in late 2009. This model has sold nearly 2,500 units. Varian is the best selling BMW 530d Gran Turismo.
